Interior Minister Samir Mubaidin reported on the incident witnessed in Anjara of Ajloun governorate without adding much information than what was officially announced by the Public Security Department (PSD).

The Minister stressed during his speech to the House of Representatives that the security forces were exposed to gunfire from inside a forested area before the riot events took place.

Minister Mubaidin denounced demands for restraint after the attack on security centers and the burning of vehicles and government buildings, stressing that coordination and meetings with the elders of the province are ongoing to contain the crisis.

Mubaidin praised the restraint exercised by the security force and the gendarmerie, adding that without the high self-discipline they showed in face of these attacks with weapons and machine guns, the incident would have turned into a massacre.
