Jordanians celebrate on Wednesday, 30 January, the 57th anniversary of the birth of His Majesty King Abdullah II.
The people of the homeland stand united, behind their Hashemite leadership, in confronting the challenges, so that Jordan remains an oasis of safety and security and a model of national unity and coexistence.
His Majesty the King is the forty-first grandson of Prophet Muhammad and the eldest son of the late King Hussein Bin Talal.
The sons and daughters of the nation continue the process of building and progressing in the footsteps of His Majesty King Abdullah II, determined that Jordan will remain a model of achievement, security, and national unity and coexistence.
Jordan is increasingly resilient to the various challenges and is able to transform the challenges into promising opportunities within a cumulative reform process that strengthens the approach of the constitution, the state of institutions and the rule of law. Jordan stands, as always, under the leadership of His Majesty the King, defending Arab, Islamic and Palestinian issues.
His Majesty King Abdullah II received his constitutional powers as King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on February 7, 1999, to announce to the Parliament the Fourth Covenant of the Kingdom.
