Member of the House of Representatives, Musleh Al-Tarawneh, confirmed that the amnesty law does not include Awni Mutee, Yunis Qandil and former Director of Intelligence Mohammed Al-Zahabi.

Al-Tarawneh said that the general amnesty is not in line with the rule of law, justice or equality, but was found to create a state of tolerance and to give the detainees a chance to return to their families and engage in society.

MP Tarawneh said that the Legal Committee in the House of Representatives is competent and aware of what the general amnesty is, pointing out that all crimes related to state security are exempted from public amnesty.

He added that there are many crimes that the parliament included in the amnesty on the condition of the dropping of personal right.
