The General Directorate of Gendarmerie in cooperation with the Jordan Air Ambulance Center, provided an air ambulance service to a 50-year-old man who was injured in an accident on the desert road.

In accordance with the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to provide citizens with the best care possible, the General Director of the Gendarmerie, Major General Hussein Al Hawatmeh, instructed to fly from Ma'an Governmental Hospital to Al Hussein Medical City, after suffering severe fractures and severed blood veins, which needed extensive treatment while in the air.

The Air Ambulance Center provides its services with helicopters with advanced equipment in the field of intensive care, and specialized medical staff supervising medical evacuations to provide emergency health care to a number of government and private institutions based on contracts to secure their employees.
