A heated argument led to a fight breaking out between Israeli settlers and Palestinians in Silwan, an Arab neighborhood of occupied East Jerusalem, early Saturday, 19 January.

The settlers had harassed the young Palestinians, who were rightfully standing in the street outside their homes.

Israeli police intervened when the argument intensified, throwing stun grenades and firing rubber bullets at the Palestinians.

Four of the young residents were injured after being struck by shrapnel from the stun grenades and from rubber bullets, according to the Silwan-based Wadi Hilweh Information Center.

One of the Palestinians was held and severely beaten before he was set free.
