The Levant is being affected by a deep polar depression accompanied by an extremely cold air mass which began to cross Lebanese territory.
Heavy snowfall is now falling on the mountain heights which are more than 1000 meters above sea level.
The following video presents the first moments of the polar front entering Lebanese territory, specifically in Sernba, which is between 1000 and 1200 meter above sea level, 65 km from the capital Beirut.
