His Majesty King Abdullah II received on Wednesday, 9 January, an invitation from Tunisia’s President Béji Kayed Sibsi, delivered by the president’s personal representative, Lazhar Karoui Chebbi, through which he invited the Jordanian monarch to attend the 30th Ordinary Session of the Arab League Summit, which will be held in March in Tunisia.

During the meeting, which was held at the Al-Husseiniya Palace in Amman, His Majesty sent his greetings to the Tunisian president and wished him and the Tunisian people further progress and prosperity.

The meeting also focused on the Jordanian-Tunisian brotherly relations, the keenness to strengthen them in various fields and on maintaining cooperation and consultation between the two countries on various issues of common concern.

King Abdullah stressed Jordan's desire for the success of the forthcoming Summit, in a way which would serve Arab issues and contribute to initiating joint Arab action, in addition to finding political solutions for the region's crises.
