The Jordanian Armed Forces - Arab Army has announced the development of its specialized strategy in the face of intellectual extremism and terrorism, under the directives of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Mahmoud Abdel Halim Freihat.

The strategy aims to protect and immunise members of the armed forces and take proactive measures capable of keeping abreast of the changes in the strategic environment, which have been adapted to the strategy of various state institutions and security apparatuses in dealing with intellectual extremism and terrorism.

The strategy reflects the views of His Majesty the Supreme Commander of the Jordanian Armed Forces, King Abdullah II, calling for the rejection of intellectual extremism and the drying up of the sources of terrorism and to show the image of a tolerant Islam, which was expressed by His Majesty in various international forums.
