If you’re craving a juicy Whopper from Burger King, you’re going to have to feed your cravings elsewhere, as the famous fast food chain has temporarily shut down its branches across Jordan, until further notice.

The Burger King management team said in a Facebook post on Monday, January 7, 2019:

"Dear customers, we apologize for closing down our branches for a limited period of time, in order to refurbish them and maintain quality standards to provide you with the best services and bring you new meals. We hope to see you soon."

Burger King opened its first branch in the Kingdom in 1999, and by August 2015, 13 branches were established in Amman, Aqaba, Zarqa and Irbid, according to the Jordan American Food Company.
