Brazilian new President Javier Bolsonaro said in a television interview on Thursday that he intends to move his country's embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, while voicing the importance of any reprisals that Arab countries might take against Brasil.
Bolsonaro said in an interview with SBT TV network that he had agreed to transfer the embassy to Jerusalem during his talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who visited Brazil specifically for the inauguration ceremony of the right-wing president.
In early November, Bolsonaro said he intended to follow the example of US President Donald Trump and move Brazil’s embassy to Jerusalem.
