Earthquake hits north Iraq

An earthquake shook the province of Dohuk in the Kurdistan region on Monday, December 31, 2018.

A source at the Iraqi Air Force said that the tremor hit the outskirts of the city of Duhok today, and was felt by the residents, however, it is not known how much the earthquake registered on the Richter scale.

There was no mention of injury or damage.

It is noteworthy that this year witnessed many earthquakes in the regions of northeastern Iraq.
