The Jordanian Social Security Corporation (JSSC) decided to raise funeral expenses of insured individuals who die at the place of their work from 500 Jordanian dinars to 700.

According to the decision, funeral expenses are paid in the event of death during service that is covered by social security wether it was natural or related.

In addition, expenses shall be paid to the heirs of the deceased, along with natural death or death resulting from injury pension, or a lump-sum compensation, terms and conditions apply.

The JSSC intends to provide financial support to those who are covered by social security and die at their place of work, to assist their families with funerary expenses.
