The Chargé d'Affaires of the Syrian Embassy in Amman, Ayman Aloush, called on Jordan to complete its embassy staff in the Syrian capital Damascus, December 28, 2018.
"We hope that the Jordanian Embassy in Syria will be fully staffed," Aloush told Sputnik. "So far, the staff are administrative personnel who have been given the title of diplomat during work."
Aloush called for the “Jordanian Foreign Ministry to raise the level of representation, noting that the administrative is the lowest stage, with respect for each of Jordan representatives regardless of rank in Syria, but the administrative rank is small."
Alloush stressed his country's keenness to restore normal relations with Jordan because it is a "popular will imposed by geography and history," which enhances the national security of the two countries against their common enemy.
