Turkey has canceled the Jordanian investment conference, on November 26, 2018, which was to be held in Istanbul in a few days to promote investment opportunities in Jordan.

The Jordan Investment Commission (JIC) told Roya that the Ministry of Industry and Trade informed the Jordanian Committee of Turkey's decision to cancel the conference.

The Ministry’s spokesman said in a statement that he had no information about reasons for canceling the conference.

Earlier in March, the Jordanian Council of Ministers had decided to suspend the Free Trade Agreement with Turkey, which came into force in 2011. The agreement became void last week, on November 22.
