The Japanese government welcomed the visit of His Majesty King Abdullah II and Queen Rania Al Abdullah to Japan on Sunday, November 25, 2018.

"This visit is expected to increase the friendly relations between Japan and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan," the Japanese Foreign Minister said in a press release announced by the Japanese embassy in Amman.

Emperor Akihito, Crown Prince Naruhito, King Abdullah and Queen Rania will be meeting for lunch later today, where after, His Imperial Majesty and His Royal Majesty will be holding talks in the presence of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzō Abe.

During His visit, King Abdullah is to hold several meetings with senior Japanese officials, lawmakers, as well as military and business leaders to discuss boosting political and economic ties between the two countries.
