King leaves country to visit UK, Japan

His Majesty King Abdullah II left the Kingdom on Thursday, November 22, 2018 for a work visit to Japan, preceded by a special visit to the United Kingdom to attend the graduation of her Highness Princess Salma Bint Abdullah at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.

During his visit to Japan, King Abdullah will meet with Japanese Emperor Akihito and Japan's Crown Prince Naruhito, and hold talks with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on bilateral relations and means of developing cooperation in political, economic and development fields as well as regional developments.

The King also will also hold meetings with senior Japanese officials and parliamentary, economic and military leaders to discuss opportunities for expanding cooperation between the two friendly countries.

His Royal Highness Prince Faisal Bin Al Hussein was sworn in as the Deputy King of the Kingdom.
