Israel plans to negotiate with the US government on Airbnb’s decision of canceling 200 rental listings located in Israeli settlements, an Israeli Minister said on November 21, 2018.

Israeli Tourism Ministerm Yariv Levinm, said that Israel may look to punish Airbnb and “impose a special and high tax” on the company’s activities.

Palestinians welcomed the vacation rental giant’s announcement last Monday, and will come into effect within days, while the Israeli government described the move as a "disgraceful surrender" to boycotters.
