His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of JAF, and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, attended the ceremony held to change the name of the Rapid Response Brigade into the Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Brigade.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who arrived earlier in Amman, was welcomed by His Majesty King Abdullah II upon his arrival to the Marka Military Airport on Tuesday, November 20, 2018.

The two leaders then held bilateral talks about issues of common concern to the two countries. The talks discussed scopes of cooperation between the two countries as well as ways to boost the relations in various fields including in the economic, developmental and political sectors.

During the meeting, His Majesty conveyed his greetings to President of the United Arab Emirates HRH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. His Majesty also wished Sheikh Khalifa and the people of the UAE further progress and prosperity.

The talks were attended by HRH Prince Faisal Bin al-Hussein and HRH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

His Majesty King Abdullah II bestowed the Order of Al Hussein bin Ali upon Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan at Al Husseiniya Palace, which is the highest Order of the Kingdom.

The talks, attended by senior officials from both sides, covered the latest developments in the Middle East region, as the two sides voiced their desire to continue consultations on various regional issues.

His Majesty and the Corwn Prince also witnessed the signing of an agreement between Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development and the Crown Prince Foundation.

The King held a lunch banquet in honor of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and the accompanying delegation.
