Chinese Ambassador to Amman, Pan Weifang, visited the project site of Salt Road’s rehabilitation, on November 16, 2018.

Funded by a Chinese grant of $31.5 million US dollars, the project aims at expanding the Salt road by four lanes.

The Secretary General of the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, Ziad Obeidat, pointed out that supporting such important projects is a major factor in boosting the overall development, which calls on us to work as a team and in partnership with all sectors to strengthen our local environment.

Obeidat expressed his enthusiasm towards the implementation of many other projects in coordination with the Chinese government that will positively affect the Kingdom.

During his visit, the Chinese ambassador stressed that these projects underline the strong relations between Jordan and China. China has already supported several projects in the fields of energy, industry, health and education.
