Jordan witnessed heavy rains during the past weekend, which caused floods in several areas.

Al Jafar received 62.0 mm of rainfall, which is two years worth in a matter of hours, compared to the seasonal average of 28.4 mm, according to the Meteorological Department on Sunday, November 11, 2018.

Rainfall measured in a number of areas was as follows:

Northern Regions:

Ras Munif: 1.3 mm

Irbid: 2.0 mm

Central Region:

Salt: 2.5 mm
Sweileh: 7.0 mm
University of Jordan: 2.0 mm
Queen Alia International Airport: 7,8

Southern Regions:

Jafar: 62,0 mm
Tafileh: 5.2 mm
Wadi Musa: 6,4 mm

Eastern Regions:

Azraq: 6.0 mm
Ruwaished: 6.3 mm
