In a statement released on Sunday, November 11, 2018, Jordanian Civil Defense Directorate (CDD) warned citizens to stay away from water flowing in streams –that resulted from heavy rainfall– in eastern regions towards the Qatranah and Mujib Dam.
Since Friday, November 9, 2018, a total of twelve deaths resulted fom flash floods that hit the country. Fluctuating weather conditions are expected to last and more rainfall is visit the Kingdom next week.
Jordan Meteorological Department is warning citizens who live in valleys and near water-streams to take the necessary and precautionary measures to stay safe.
