Governor of Ajloun, Ali Majali, said on Sunday, November 11, 2018 that around 160 families will be evacuated and transferred to into safer places due to weather instability that is expected to harshly affect the area during the coming week.

People living close to valleys and close to forests in Ajloun are relatively more vulnerable to be affected by torrential rain and floods, especially those living in Bedouin tents in Abyan town, Majali added.

Evacuation efforts are done as a precautionary measure to further ensure the safety of citizens and provide them with all needed supplies in case of an emergency situation.

Recently, the Kingdom witnessed vicious weather conditions, as flash floods hit the country twice in two weeks, resulting in tens of deaths and injuries.
