Iraqi Prime Minister, Adil Abdul-Mahdi, expressed the solidarity of the Iraqi government and its people with the families of the victims, and offered his condolences and wishes for speedy recovery for the injured.

Abdul-Mahdi wrote on Facebook: ”The Prime Minister, Adil Abdul-Mahdi, is following with concern and regret the developments of the devastating floods that hit the neighboring countries of Kuwait and Jordan due to heavy rains, which resulted in a number of deaths, injuries and destruction of property.”

Abdul-Mahdi expressed the Iraqi government’s readiness to provide the necessary support in sending logistical assistance, medical and engineering teams, and civil defense crew, in an effort to alleviate the suffering, save lives, and reduce the damage.

In a related matter, Jordanian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, thanked the Iraqi Minister of Foreign Affairs, and expressed appreciation of the two nations brotherly relations, during a call from the Iraqi Minister who offered his condolences to the victims of the floods.
