Prime Minister, Omar Razzaz, condoled the death of Ina'am Al-Mufti, former Ministry of Social Development, and the first Jordanian woman to take up a governmental position, who passed away yesterday, November 7, 2018.

The Prime Minister recalled Mufti’s great services to her country, in all the different positions she occupied.

Ina’am Mufti served as Minister of Social Development from 1979 to 1984, and as advisor to Her Majesty Queen Noor Al-Hussein for matters of development and international relations. Mufti also contributed to the establishment and management of Noor Al-Hussein Foundation, and was a member of the National Consultative Council, and a member of the Senate.

Mufti holds the medal of the ‘Order of the Star of Jordan’, and a medal from His Majesty the King of Sweden.
