Pictures and videos of the Israeli Minister of Culture and Sport, Miri Regev, touring Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have raised controversy amongst social media activists.

Regev was seen with various Emirati officials – wearing a traditional dress– as she walked through the mosque.

The Minister is currently a member of the Knesset for Likud. She arrived in UAE on Friday, October 27, 2018 to accompany a delegation of Israeli athletes who are participated in the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam’s Judo International Championship.
