On Friday morning, the official facilities closed the Ghor Al-Safi road, in the Jordan Valley, due to mudslides falling on the main road, near many factories, on Friday, October 26, 2018.

The Arab Potash Company’s heavy equipment helped clear the road, with the presence of the Public Safety Team and cadres of the Ministry of Public Works. The road is now open.

According to a member of the council, the Southern Ghor and Karak Governorate, has been sending repeated warnings about the dangers of the these roads in winter time; the Dead Sea Ghor road, the Kharza Ghor road, and the Assal-Potash road and the entrances to Al-Safi. But the Ministry of Public Works had done nothing.
