Israeli occupation forcibly entered Khan Al-Ahmar, east of Jerusalem, on Monday morning, October 15, 2018, and started levelling the lands bordering the area, Maan news agency stated.

The occupation authorities targeted Khan Al-Ahmar for months, seeking to demolish the houses there and displace its residents, in an attempt to empty East Jerusalem from the Jerusalemites and integrate the area to the settlers as it is located between Maale Adumim and Kfar Adumim – which is considered as part of Area C that falls under the occupied West Bank.

In early September 2018, the Israeli forces closed the main gate leading to Khan Al-Ahmar and prevented supporters from crossing inside. They had previously set a deadline for residents to evacuate Khan Al-Ahmar, which ended in mid September, 2018.

When the citizens of Khan Al-Ahmar expressed their refusal in a 100-day protest, occupation authorities flooded the nearby areas with waste water on October 2, 2018.
