His Majesty King Abdullah II congratulated the new elected Iraqi President Barham Salih on his presidency in a phone call on Friday, October 5, 2018.

In the conversation, His Majesty wished President Salih and the Iraqi people prosperity and progress success. The King confirmed the strong and deep-rooted ties between Jordan and Iraq and its peoples.

On the same day, His Majesty also congratulated the newly designated Iraqi Prime Minister, Adil Abdul Mahdi, in a phone call.
