Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) launched a technical cooperation project with the Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA), on Monday October 1, 2018.

The two-year project in coordination with the Embassy of Netherlands in Amman, represented by Ambassador Barbara Joziasse, aims at unifying efforts among regulators to implement the recently approved inspection of economic establishments.

According to the JFDA press release, the Dutch commission will be training 450 inspectors from the JFDA, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Agriculture, and the Greater Amman Municipality through workshops supervised by Dutch trainers.

The project is the beginning of cooperation and exchange of expertise between the two friendly countries in an effort to achieve more collabration and improve the level of inspection of foods.
