The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) announced on Thursday, September 27, 2018, that it had stepped up its actions against the administration of the UN Agency, in response to its refusal to sit down at the dialogue table.

The measures include administrative disobedience, the closure of the Gaza Field Office, all other branch offices, and the offices of the heads of the regions starting next Sunday, as the general strike will continue on Tuesday and Wednesday, as explained by the head of the staff union Amir Al Mishal in a news conference in Gaza.
