Parents and students of Sa’id Al-Maayta Martyr Highschool in Karak protested against the bad prevailing conditions of the building, on Sunday September 23, 2018.

Parents said that the school is in complete disrepair being more than 60 years old. The students are prevented from entering their classrooms by their parents because of the seriousness of the situation.

The parents are calling for a brand new school as the current one is posing real danger to the lives of their children.

According to Roya correspondent, the Karak Governor, Police Director and Director of Education have met with the parents to discuss the situation.

The parents told Roya that their kids will not end the protest and will not enter the school as long as the walls and ceilings keep falling on top of their heads.
