His Majesty King Abdullah II, accompanied by Her Majesty Queen Rania, arrived in New York on Wednesday to participate in the 73rd Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 73), the Royal Hashemite Court reported.

King Abdullah is expected to deliver a speech to the Assembly and meet with heads of countries and delegations on the sidelines of the Assembly.

Meanwhile, Prince Faisal Bin Al Hussein was sworn in as Regent in the presence of Cabinet members.

The UNGA 73 opened on September 18, 2018, and will close on September 30, 2018, and is presided by Ms. Maria Fernanda Espinosa Garcés of Ecuador.
