Jordanian Ministry of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) along with five Jordanian universities singed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the California-based network securityIncorporation; Palo Alto Networks.

The agreement coincided with the Middle East and North Africa Information and Communications Technology Forum (MENA ICT) which took place yesterday, September 10, 2018.

Palo Alto Networks Inc. will be providing training workshops and educational lectures to Jordanian students, academics and ICT employees. The agreement will also enable the cooperation between all parties in order to target the establishment of cybersecurity centers at these five universities in the near future.

The Minister of Information and Communications Technology, Mothanna Gharaibeh, described the initiative as a move forward towards enabling a new generation of qualified and skilled employees in the cybersecurity field; a major that is highly demanded within both the local and international market.
