The Jordanian and German Governments finalized three financing agreements worth €115 million earlier today, September 10, 2018.

Signed by senior officials of the German Construction Bank, the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development, and Jordanian Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Mary Kawar; the €115 million are split to a €20 million 2018 grant from the German government and a soft-loan-based of €95 million.

Germany is the second largest donor to Jordan and one of the Kingdom's major partners in the development and reform process.

German assistance contributes to vital sectors such as education, agriculture, sanitation and employment, as well as its role in supporting Jordan in facing the burdens resulting from the Syrian crisis.
