It was just last week that Jordanian social media users showered the Irbid Municipality with criticism and satirical comments for building a roundabout in the most unconventional and “dangerous” way possible.
On Sunday, a picture of a second controversial roundabout, also located in Irbid, made the rounds on social media.
Meet Roundabout 2.0, which was built on just one side of the road in one of the city’s busy areas, making it a potential cause of extra traffic and road accidents.
Following much protest from the residents of Huwwarah village, the municipality did not go round in circles; instead, Roundabout 1.0 was removed less than 24 hours after it was built.
What will be the fate of this roundabout, and will more pictures of other poorly-built circles in Irbid surface on the internet?
