Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah met with the team behind the Jordanian venture, SitatByoot, at its main office in the King Hussein Business Park on Tuesday, August 28, 2018.

During the meeting, Her Majesty was briefed by both SitatByoot’s CEO and CCO, Saeed Omar and Nada Hanieh, about their eight-year-old co-founded venture which aims at boosting recruitment chances and empowering women in the local and regional business market. SitatByoot’s website – an online employment and sales platform – allows women to market their handmade products to a wider range of customers as well as secure a source of income to these various skilled women.

Her Majesty expressed her pride in the consistent growth of SitatByoot –an initiative that relies on technology to advertise traditional products and job models – which currently has more than 2000 female beneficiaries who have used the site to promote their products.

The Queen published a photo from her visit today, praising: "The SitatByoot platform has supported many women and offered them work and training opportunities to generate income from home. Really enjoyed chatting with them earlier today... Great job!"
