Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah visited Ajloun Governorate on Sunday, August 26, 2018 where she met with the women behind the Al-Kifah Cooperative Society.

Her Majesty toured Al-Kifah’s facilities –including a model mirco farm- and experienced the high quality of the society’s products firsthand.

The Queen was briefed by Al-Kifah’s President, Ms. Nosaibah Momani, about the Society’s scope of work, its income-generating initiatives, the mechanism behind its organic farming, the preparation and serving of its organic products at its in-house Café, as well as the training programs that the Society provides in order to spread awareness about organic agriculture and empower trainees with professional skills.

Established in 2004, Al-Kifah currently has a supply chain of organic products available at many outlets in the Kingdom, including its own managed Café (Summaga Café) in Ajloun’s Castle, Souq Al Shams Farmers’ Market in Amman, and the Wild Jordan Center in Amman. The Society also provides a source of income to more than 40 women.

Her Majesty voiced her pride in the efforts and hard work of Al-Kifah Cooperative Society. She also praised the effective and productive part that it plays in empowering women in the local community, its contribution to creating new and sustainable job opportunities, as well as its efforts in boosting tourism in Ajloun Governorate.
