A woman was arrested in Hebron on Monday on suspicion of using her daughter for shoplifting in one of the city’s stores in the West Bank.

Palestinian police took the woman and her 12-year-old daughter into their custody after receiving a tip and investigating the incident, according to a police statement.

Police found clothes, shoes and accessories in the duo’s possession at the time of their arrest.

During her interrogation, the woman admitted to her crime, confessing that she would enter a store with her daughter and distract the staff while her daughter took whatever she could get her hands on.
