If you need to ride a public bus to work, to visit family and friends or just to head out somewhere nice, you’ll be happy to know that busses will be running during Eid Al Adha holiday from Tuesday, 21 August, until Friday, 24 August.

The Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) said that every major bus route will run as usual during the four-day holiday, while more busses will run in populated and busy areas.

Meanwhile, some bus routes will be adjusted to make passengers’ journeys quicker.

Gam executive director of transport, Abdel Rahim al-Wreikat, said in a statement on Sunday that they have coordinated with public bus companies to maintain their services during this period, especially in entertainment and recreational areas across the city.

Traffic police officers will be on duty too, of course, ready to monitor traffic and take on board any notes citizens may have.

For any notes or enquiries, you can contact the Public Transportation Department for free on 080022241. For emergencies, contact the GAM emergency hotline on 5359970. Both lines will be open during Eid Al Adha holiday.
