The Civil Status and Passports Department (CSPD) has urged Jordanian citizens who have yet to replace their old national ID to visit their nearest CSPD branch and issue the new Smart ID before September 9, 2018.
The CSPD said in a statement on Friday that September 9, 2018 will be the final deadline for issuing the official ID, adding that this date will not be extended.
About 3.7 million smart IDs have been issued up until now, according to the Department.
Jordanians visiting the Kingdom for Eid Al Adha holiday were also advised to take advantage of being here by issuing a Smart ID, if they are still carrying the old national ID.
