An earthquake measuring 2.6 on the Richter scale hit the Dead Sea area earlier today at 8:52 in the morning, August 5, 2018.
Head of the Palestinian Seismological Observatory said that the earthquake was recorded today, originating from the Dead Sea, and with a depth of roughly 11km.
The Palestinian-Jordanian juncture has been experiencing a fair share of mini-earthquakes in the last couple of months, strongest of which was of 4.7 magnitude on July 4, 2018.
