President of Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC), Issa Murad, discussed with Turkish Ambassador to Jordan, Murat Karagoz, ways of boosting collaboration between the two countries in trade, services and tourism sectors.

During the meeting, attended by a number of ACC’s members, Murad voiced the bolstering bilateral ties between the two countries, which have been steadily developing during the last years.

In the same context, Murad stressed the need to focus on boosting trade ties by exporting Jordanian phosphate to Turkey, promoting tourism in both countries and increasing Turkish investments in the Kingdom.

Murad expressed his concern regarding suspending the free trade agreement with Turkey earlier, as many Jordanian traders established their businesses based on that agreement.

Karagoz said the Turkish embassy will convey proposals that have been offered by the Jordanian government to boost economic ties to Turkish officials, hoping to reach an agreement to export phosphate to Turkey.
