Olympic boxer, Obada Al Kasba, gave a superb performance at the 45th edition of the Chemistry Cup while playing against some of Europe’s top boxing fighters.

The Jordanian champion secured his spot in the 64kg final round against World and Pan American Games champion Andy Gomez from Cuba. Unfortunately, Jordan’s star athlete could not play in the final game, which was on Saturday, June 23, 2018, because of injury.

Kasba excelled in a high-intensity match in the semi-final, earning a 3-2 over India’s champion Dheeraj, after taking down Russia’s former AIBA Junior World Champion Ivan Kozolvesky in the quarter-final.

This year, there are more than 100 boxers from 16 countries competing in the Chemistry Cup international tournament. Jordan is one of the only three non-European nations taking part in the event which is held in Halle, Germany.
