The Arab League on Sunday condemned Israel for killing paramedic Razan Najjar, 21, who was shot by Israeli snipers near the Gaza border fence while attending to a Palestinian who was wounded by Israeli fire, reported Anadolu Agency.

The organization accused Israel of “deliberately” killing the medic.

Based in Cairo, the league said in a statement that “the Israeli occupation authorities are fully responsible for the medic’s murder.”

They further urged the World Health Organization (WHO), Doctors Without Borders and the International Committee of the Red Cross to not let this crime go without punishing those who are responsible for it and to “force Israel to respect international agreements regarding the safety of doctors and medics.”

The league also called on the UN and other international organizations to “investigate Israeli crimes and to prosecute those responsible and hold them accountable for their crimes.”

More than 120 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli army gunfire in Gaza since 30 March, when thousands of people peacefully marched in protest of the Israeli blockade on the Strip, which has been ongoing for over a decade.
