Economic expert and Secretary of the General Association of Petrol and Gas Distribution Stations Owners, Hashim Aqel, has come out with another prediction of increasing fuel prices in Jordan for the upcoming month.

According to Aqel, Hani Mulki’s administration will raise the price of Diesel by four percent, 90-octane petrol by five percent and 95-octane petrol by three percent.

This isn’t the first time the expert makes such forecasts. Just last month, Aqel made similar prediction before the government indeed increased prices for the month of May.

You can currently buy unleaded 95-octane petrol for JD 1.05 per litre, a 4.5 Piaster increase from the previous month, while a litre of Diesel will cost you 61 Piastres, up by four piasters.

The Jordanian government has maintained that the fuel pricing committee uses the rate of change in oil prices for a period of 30 days before determining domestic fuel prices.
