The man who shot two pharmacists, killing one of them and injuring the other, in Zarqa on Friday morning has handed himself over to the police, according to a security source.

The shooter had fled the scene of the crime immediately after shooting the pharmacists, who were immediately transferred to the Prince Hashem Bin Al-Hussein Military Hospital.

The security source told Roya that police officers found the shooter’s gun in his home. He is currently being interrogated by the authorities.

The man shot the pharmacists after one of them refused to sell him a certain type of painkillers.

Painkillers are used to ease pain and stronger types of those pills need to be prescribed by a doctor. Many people get addicted to the pain relievers, which are made from opium, which comes from the poppy plant.
