Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) is set to enhance a number of streets in Amman Downtown by establishing pedestrian crossings and overpasses on Al Reda St., Al Saadeh St., and K. Faysal Square.

GAM will work around the clock for a period of two weeks, starting Saturday midnight, resulting in a number of partial roadblocks and detours which will be handled by the Central Traffic Department.

The traffic from Al Reda and Saadeh streets will be diverted to Basman St., which will be accessed in the direction between Prince Muhammad St. and K.Talal St., noting that the large public transport buses will also use the detour.

Service (white public transport cars) routes will now pass through K.Talal St, Petra and Quraysh St. and head to K. Faysal Square through Ibn Atheer St.

GAM assures that proper guidance for drivers will be provided through traffic police officers and signs throughout the two-week period.
