The Economic Committee at the Lower House announced on Tuesday that it will be establishing the first Economic Forum in Jordan this May, which will be sponsored by His Majesty King Abdullah II.

Chairman of the committee, Kheir Abu So’elek, said in a press conference that the Forum will be held at the Dead Sea with the participation of 500 prominent economic figures, to discuss ideas, share their expertise and shed light on their countries’ economic experiences under six main topics.

According to Abu So’elek, the Forum comes as a consecration to the Lower House’s role in monitoring the economic and investment status in the country, in order to accelerate economic growth and move from strategies to actual practice.
