An international NGO in Amman was robbed by one of its own staff members this week.

The employee, who took JD 10,000 from his workplace, has been arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Al Ghad newspaper reported.

During his interrogation with the CID, the offender admitted to going to his office after work hours and stealing the large sum from a safe-deposit.

Following his arrest, the CID seized JD 7,350 from the culprit.

The CID did not reveal the name of the NGO nor did it disclose more details about the incident.
