When someone is about to rob a supermarket, they usually make a quick entrance and an even quicker exit.

However, a burglar in Hashemi Shamali, Amman, was captured on CCTV camera while strolling around a supermarket, grabbing a juice bottle out of the fridge and drinking it, before heading to the cash register and stealing whatever money had been left in it.

The “laid-back” criminal did not seem to be aware of the presence of a CCTV camera. The supermarket owner handed in the footage to the police, and urged them to capture the offender as quickly as possible.

Some might find this thief’s behaviour “amusing,” but these are 4 times criminals amused the world by acting really, really stupid:

1. A man in Scotland, UK, tried to rob a bookmaker “armed” with a cucumber! He had the vegetable covered in a sock when he threatened a female worker with it. He was jailed after admitting assault with intent to rob.

2. A man named Christopher Badman in Wales, UK, walked around a hotel with a bag over his head, before burgling one of its rooms. The unlucky robber was caught on CCTV camera after he foolishly took the bag off his head and looked straight into the camera. He was ordered to pay £900 costs and a £100 surcharge.

3. Two criminals in the US decided to colour in their faces with black permanent marker to hide their identities, instead of using a real mask or even a paper bag. They tried to rob a bank looking like that, and needless to say, they were caught.

4. A mother in the US tried to sell her two children on Facebook for $4,000 in order to bail out her criminal boyfriend from prison. The mother was arrested shortly after for trafficking children and her kids were taken into custody.
